Dear Ms. Laing,
I have a few suggestions. One suggestion I have to reduce the population of Canadian Geese is to get Animal Control to find a part of the population of female geese and tranquilize them, then get surgical gloves and sterilize or tie their fallopian tubes so they cannot lay eggs. Another way would be to tranquilize them, then put weights on them, take them to the ocean and dump them in to drown.

Dear Ms. Laing,
I am a seventh grade student at Wendler Jr. High, and I am concerned with the "Goose Problem" in Anchorage. The over population of geese affects many people and needs to be taken care of before it gets dangerously out of hand. This is my idea of what could be done. I hope it can be of some help.
Science labs could construct a poison that would kill geese, and make their bodies bodygaurd in a rapid form. It would need to leave larger animals, humans and the air around us unharmed. The poison would also have a neutralizer. (For safety reasons and later use.)
The poison would be placed in one or two of the lakes that are commonly used by geese. The geese would go and drink and/or eat out of the lake(s). They would die and their bodies would bodyguard, leaving no dead bodies lying around. (The plant and fish life in the lake would die too.) After a controlled amount of time, the neutralizer would be used to "zap" the poison. After the poison is gone, the community could work on restoring the lakes(s) with fish and plant life.
Sincerely,
J. D.

Dear MS. Laing,
I think we should catch them use them for sciens to find out what's in siad them (grows). Then give them to other school's in Alaska like collage students and middel school students. so we can find out whats in them (grows). Just some things anther I thouth Like cathg them and put them in a gas chamber and like beary them. Some other ideas I have are form like "grown-ups". They said shoot them then give them away to the people of Alaska.
Sncerly
a caring person

Dear Ms. Laing,
I think the goose problem in Anchorage is not necessary. All you have to do is put poison on the grass were they are most at, I Also think that were they are most and were rest you could put poisoners spray on the grass or were there is lots of grass you make small rivers and creeks and if the goooses hang around the water you'll could poison the water and put danger signs for when humans are around.
Sincerely,
J. T.
